TERMS & Conditions

Suitability : to book any of our activities you need to have complete confidence that you can complete the distance of the events or swims required during the activity. If you have any queries about your suitability contact us to discuss prior/immediately after booking . We try our very best to be as inclusive as possible.

Access/Mobility : to access some of our swims you may be required to walk on coastal paths and on occasion, scramble down very short sections of rock/uneven surfaces. If you have mobility or balance issues or a long standing injury that may prevent you from doing so, you need to contact us prior to booking. You may still be able to book or complete part of the activity. 

Medication/Medical Issue : We need to know about any medical conditions, medication you require or any short or long term issues you may have at the time of booking, whether or not you feel it to be relevant. If you develop any additional medical problems/issues after booking, it is your responsibility to inform us. This information will be kept confidential and only used to assist you on the activity or to be handed over to a medical professional, if required. 

If you do not comply with the above points and give us false or misleading information in relation to these points we reserve the right to prevent you from continuing the activity. 

Water Safety Open Water : It is important to understand that many open water locations are unsupervised, however lifeguards do usually operate in most areas from April – September (10-6pm). Unsupervised open water swimming is significantly riskier than a supervised pool session and as such, WOW Swim Coaching will ensure that every participant fully understands the risks before taking part in any open water session and that all coaches are appropriately trained. However, all swimmers agree to swim entirely at their own risk and are responsible for their own actions. In the unlikely event of injury, accident, loss or damage suffered, no responsibility whatsoever shall be attached to the organisers or any persons involved in the organisation of open water swimming with us, if that participant failed or neglected to comply with safety rules or advise given by the coach/supervisor.

Water Safety Pool : All pool sessions will be carried out at a certified swimming pool and may have a qualified lifeguard present. However, all swimmers agree to swim entirely at their own risk and are responsible for their own actions. All pool maintenance & hygiene, including water quality checks, will be the sole responsibility of the swimming pool owner. In the unlikely event of injury, accident, loss or damage suffered, no responsibility whatsoever shall be attached to the organisers or any persons involved in the organisation of pool swimming sessions with us, if that participant failed or neglected to comply with safety rules or advise given by the coach/supervisor.

If you feel unwell or unusual on the day of the activity you need to let us know (personally) as soon as possible. If you feel like you are struggling, in danger or see someone else on the activity or otherwise that may be struggling or in danger, you need to stop immediately, try to relax and wave one hand in the air (side to side) to attract the attention of water safety. Shout if you need to. 

We reserve the right to refuse entry to the activity if you miss a scheduled safety talk. 

If you leave an activity early you must tell a member of the team. (Do this personally, do not ask someone to pass on the message). 

Behaviour : we expect our guests to behave in an appropriate manner, towards staff, other guests/the general public and their attitude towards the groups & their own safety. Should any guest act inappropriately we reserve the right to refuse further participation.

Complaint Procedure : Speak to a member of staff immediately. If the problem is not resolved, or you're not happy with the outcome then write to us detailing the complaint and all relevant details, within 28 days. 

Data Protection : any personal and/or sensitive data collected that is deemed necessary for the participation in any activity, will used and stored in accordance with data protection regulations.

Payment : We expect full payment to be made upon booking and prior to your activity (3% system booking fee in charged on top). If we cancel an activity due to circumstances beyond our control i.e. the weather, we will issue a full refund or credit the payment to another date or activity of your choice.

CANCELLATION POLICY : If you cannot attend the activity for any reason, you must inform us as soon as possible on 07877 766118. If you cancel 72hrs prior to the session, any monies paid will be refunded or credited in full. After this time, monies will forfeited due to limited spaces.
